Olean, NY – Thomas Moran, an esteemed alumnus of Allegany-Limestone from Olean, New York, tragically passed away at the age of 23 on Monday, December 18, 2023, following a tragic accident at his residence.
The heart-wrenching news of Thomas Moran’s passing was confirmed through a poignant Facebook post offering prayers and condolences to the Moran family during this challenging time.
Born to Thomas and Trisha Moran in Olean on February 1, 2000, Thomas, fondly known as Tommy, excelled academically. Graduating with honors from Allegany-Limestone in 2018, he pursued further education at Alfred State College, earning an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance Electrician. His academic prowess was further acknowledged with the Sigma Tau Epsilon certificate of Academic Distinction.
Thomas Moran embarked on a career path marked by dedication and skill. He worked as a maintenance electrician at Lidestri Foods in Rochester from 2020 to 2022 before returning to Allegany, where he served as an electrician for Olean since 2022.
Tommy was known for his infectious energy and charismatic charm, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His unwavering confidence inspired those around him, showcasing an exceptional ability to make others feel cherished and secure.

Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., Olean, on Friday from 3-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Thomas Moran’s life will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany, officiated by Fr. Michael Reyes. Burial services will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
