Anne’s journey into photography commenced in her early years when her father gifted her a black box camera. Capturing cherished moments of her family, she realized her innate talent and nurtured it into a remarkable skill. Inspired by her father, a gifted photographer and longtime worker at Bell & Howell, Anne went on to master her craft.
In the realm of photography, Anne and her husband Richard were a formidable duo, exemplifying the art and essence of storytelling through their lenses. Anne, a graduate of the prestigious University of Illinois, demonstrated her passion for photography throughout her career.
Anne’s unexpected passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, especially her daughter, Gwendolyn Derk, who beautifully expressed her love and admiration for her mother, stating:
