A visitation to pay respects and offer condolences will be held at Prout Funeral Home, Verona, NJ, on Friday, September 22, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona, on Saturday at 10:30 am.

Originally from Rockville Centre, NY, Robert Lynch spent his formative years in Medford Lakes and Glen Ridge before settling in Verona in 1999. He was the proud owner of the Kilkenny Ale House in Newark since 2006, an establishment that spoke of his love for his Irish heritage.

Robert Lynch’s contributions extended beyond his business. He was an active member of the AOH Division 9 of Montclair and the Shillelagh Club of West Orange, passionately participating in their charitable events. Moreover, as the Vice President of the NJ License Beverage Association, he diligently worked on matters affecting fellow business owners.

In mourning, Robert Lynch leaves behind his wife, Michele Lynch; his son, Robert A. Lynch; and his siblings, Harold Lynch, Mary Jean Lynch, Eileen Vanderpoel, Maureen Lynch, Rose Mary Heugle, and James Lynch, along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in his memory to be made to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding childhood cancer research.
