Robert Loggia served in the United States Army. At the age of 25, he made his Broadway debut in the play The Man with the Golden Arm. Eric played Frankie Peppo in the 1956 film Somebody Up There Likes Me. He then appeared in The Three Sisters (1966), SOB (1981), Big (1988), Lifepod (1993), The Deal (2005), and many other films.

Real Gangsters (2013), No Deposit (2015), The Red Maple Leaf (2016) and Cries of the Unborn (2017) are his most recent films. Robert made his television debut in an episode of Wagon Train and Alcoa Present: One Step Beyond in 1959. He played Thomas Hewitt Edward Cat in THE Cat for 26 episodes from 1966 to 1967.
