Owner of R.B. Jergens Contractors Bill Jergens dies at age 69

Dayton, Ohio – December 11, 2023: The Dayton community is in mourning following the passing of Bill Jergens, the esteemed owner and operator of R.B. Jergens Contractors. Bill Jergens, a prominent figure in the Dayton area, passed away on December 11, 2023, at the age of 69 in Troy, Ohio. The circumstances surrounding his demise have not been disclosed.

Born on August 25, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, Bill’s legacy extends far beyond his role as the head of R.B. Jergens Contractors. His journey commenced at Chaminade High School, where he graduated in 1972, showcasing exceptional leadership qualities and undeniable charm.

Bill’s impact went beyond the success of R.B. Jergens Contractors, recognized as a Top 100 Company in the Dayton area since 2013. His visionary leadership steered the company to greatness since its establishment in 1993. However, his true distinction lay in his ability to cultivate a culture valuing individuals above all else, fostering a better society alongside a successful business.

Despite shying away from the limelight, Bill’s altruistic spirit illuminated the community. His boundless generosity transcended the boundaries of his business, contributing to various organizations and causes. His philanthropic endeavors spanned Rotary International, Vandalia Youth Theatre, Vandalia Butler Chamber of Commerce, St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Dayton Children’s Hospital, The Big Hoopla, Oak Tree Corner, Pink Ribbon Good, among numerous others.

Bill Jergens is survived by his loving family, including sons Brian Jergens and Andrew Jergens, grandchildren Yuri and Heather, his devoted girlfriend Rhonda Rhoades, siblings Charles (Diane), Ray (Beverly), Cindy (Denny) Dennis, along with nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Bill Jergens will take place at 10 AM on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Our Lady of the Rosary, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Pink Ribbon Good, Children’s Hospital, or Our Lady of the Rosary.
