Emergency response units and law enforcement agencies rushed to address a shooting incident reported in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The Houston Police Department dispatched officers to Northside High School upon receiving reports of gunfire in the vicinity. According to authorities, an individual was injured, leading to the arrest of two suspects while a third fled on foot. Law enforcement is actively searching for the fugitive.

In response to the event, families of Northside High School students received a message from Central Division Superintendent Luz Martinez, addressing the incident involving a student injured in an off-campus gun-related incident. The injured student is currently receiving medical treatment, with police conducting a thorough investigation.
