“This past Thursday, I lost a great friend. I still can’t believe it’s true and my heart is broken for all who knew and loved Matt Temchatin , especially his wife Missy. Melissa Bixler Temchatin Max, and Molly… Matt and I have coached our daughters for the last 5 years. He was like a brother to me, a second dad to Anna, my chauffeur to away games…the list goes on and on. He was a huge part of many people’s lives. I probably have more texts back and forth with Matt than anyone else in my phone. It was always about basketball and the girls. Games will never be the same. You never knew what he was going to show up wearing for tournaments. He loved Wu-Tang and rocked the hip hop wear like no other. Family and basketball was his life. He was the best dad to Max and Molly, a great husband to Missy, and a huge part of our area’s basketball community. He lived in the gym. He gave so much time to his kids and everyone else’s. Please help us make sure that his family is taken care of. It’s all he would want. I have attached the link to the gofundme account. If you’d like to donate through venmo, it’s@Melissa-TemchatinIf you’d like to send a personal check, PM myself Frank Stish or Irelyn Jannuzzi for an address.”
