Kevin Grady, New York – The community of Brockport is in mourning following the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Kevin Grady, a lifelong resident, on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Kevin’s unexpected death, at the age of 48, has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

The news of Kevin Grady’s passing was shared through a heartfelt social media post that conveyed the immense loss. It read, “My cousin Danielle Cumberledge Grady lost her husband unexpectedly over the weekend. To know Kevin was to be a better person. Kevin loved life and everyone he came in contact with. His personality was bigger than he was. Please keep his family in your prayers as they navigate life without him.”

Kevin Grady’s passing was attributed to a sudden heart attack, as indicated on a GoFundMe page initiated by David Stroup. The fundraiser aimed to raise $40,000 to assist with funeral expenses and alleviate the financial burden for Danielle and her family during this challenging time. As of the latest report, the campaign has already raised an astounding $24,549. The page described Kevin as someone who “lived life to the fullest, sharing his love and passions in life with his family, friends, and community.”

Born on April 7, 1975, Kevin Grady was a proud alumnus of Brockport High School, graduating in 1993. His commitment to education led him to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Roberts Wesleyan College. For nearly three decades, he dedicated his professional life to KORE Wireless, formerly known as Integron, where he made invaluable contributions.

Kevin was not only a dedicated professional but also a beloved figure at SUNY Brockport, where he served as the Ice Arena Supervisor and Zamboni Driver for an extended period. In his personal life, Kevin found immense joy in his role as a loving husband to Danielle (Cumberledge) Grady and as a father to their children: Forrest, Alahna, Sheridan, and Maeve. He took great pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them.

Kevin was predeceased by his father, Timothy Grady, but leaves behind a loving family to celebrate his memory. He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Snell) Grady; brother, Sean (Victoria) Grady; and sister, Heather (Jeffery) Zielinski. His warm presence will also be dearly missed by in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as countless co-workers and friends.

Kevin Grady was a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Many counted him as their best friend, a testament to his ability to make everyone feel special. His easy-going nature, combined with his genuine interest in others, was endlessly endearing. Beyond his work and family, Kevin was a lifelong hockey enthusiast, a dedicated youth hockey and soccer coach, a skilled home beer brewer, and a champion of table tennis. He had a deep love for music and was always up for a game, no matter the time of day.
