Veteran actress Sidikat Odukanwi, better known as Iyabo Oko has passed away. She died on Wednesday night.
Actress Foluke Daramola-Salako confirmed her death. She wrote on her Instagram page: “and we ended up losing her.. rip Iyabo Oko, we tried our best but God knows best”
In addition, Sidikat’s daughter Bisi Aisha, a female soldier, confirmed her death. She wrote: “May my soul rest in peace.”

The 61-year-old actress before her death suffered a stroke and had to battle an illness that forced her to take a long break from acting.

She was born on November 15, 1960 in the Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State. Sidikat has stage names such as “Iyabo Oko” “Apoti Aje” Sisi Mama”.
Last year, one of her daughters, Olamide, revealed that her mother was diagnosed with an ischemic stroke about five years ago but kept her health problems a secret from the public.
Yoruba Nollywood stars include Foluke Daramola, Iyabo Ojo, Bolaji Amusan, Mercy Aigbe and Biodun Okeowo, others who have provided financial support in the past.
