Chace Nicol, little boy dies in bicycle accident involving recycling truck in Pitt Meadows

In a heartbreaking incident that has left the Pitt Meadows community in mourning, 12-year-old Chace Nicol tragically lost his life on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in a devastating accident involving a recycling truck while he was cycling to school. The accident occurred at the intersection of 116A Avenue and 196B Street, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood.

Emergency response teams, including BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) and Pitt Meadows Fire and Rescue Service (PMFRS), rushed to the scene following an alarming call. Despite their heroic efforts, Chace Nicol was pronounced dead at the site, leaving the community devastated.
