Auto Shop fire temporarily shuts down east Dowling road in Anchorage Alaska

Anchorage, Alaska: The Anchorage Fire Department reported that a fire at an auto shop caused East Dowling Road to temporarily close Thursday night. No injuries were reported in the fire, but smoke from the fire spread across the street, prompting the fire department to advise residents to avoid the area near Premium Auto Service between Seward Highway and Lake Otis Avenue.

According to Assistant Sheriff Alex Boyd, the fire was brought under control by 8:30 p.m., after first responders arrived on the scene at 7:55 p.m. with crew and property owners at site.
