Wynonna Judd was born in the town of Ashland, Kentucky in 1964. Christina Claire Ciminella is her first name. She was given the surname Ciminella after Michael Ciminella, the man her mother married shortly after being dumped by her boyfriend and Judd’s biological father, Charles Jordan, who passed away in 2000.
Ashley Judd, the younger sister of this singer, is a famous actress. Ciminella and Naomi moved to Los Angeles with the girls in 1968, but they divorced in 1972.

Wynonna Judd’s career began in 1983 when she and Naomi signed to RCA Records as The Judds, a duo. From 1983 to 1991, The Judds charted 23 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles (now Hot Country Songs) chart, including 14 number-one singles.
They have also released eight studio albums, one Christmas album, and two greatest hits anthologies. Naomi was forced to retire after experiencing a chronic hepatitis C attack during her farewell tour in 1991.
When the duo essentially disbanded, she signed to MCA Records as a solo artist with ties to Curb Records. She also reconnected with her mother during the 1999 New Year’s Eve concert that will ring in 2000, sponsored by K-mart.
