What did ‘Tyesha Bolden’ do? Pilgrim Lutheran School teacher charged sexual assault of 8th grader student

Brown Deer, Wisconsin — A startling case has emerged in Wisconsin, where Tyesha Bolden, a 34-year-old teacher at Pilgrim Lutheran Church’s Christian school, faces serious allegations involving an eighth-grade student. Bolden is accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with the student and later purchasing a weapon for his fourteenth birthday.

According to a criminal complaint cited by various reports, authorities initiated an investigation into Tyesha Bolden on July 25 after the student’s mother reported concerns about her son’s living arrangements with the teacher and potential involvement in a sexual relationship.

The school, informed of the mother’s worries, reportedly took immediate action and alerted authorities. The school’s administrators confirmed that they terminated Bolden’s employment after discovering explicit images of the minor student on her phone.

Further developments in the case shed light on more troubling revelations. On July 28, West Allis police stopped the 14-year-old student, discovering a Gen 5 Glock 19 gun and an iPhone in his possession. An investigation traced the weapon’s purchase back to Tyesha Bolden in June 2023.

Investigators also reportedly uncovered several explicit photos depicting an inappropriate relationship between Bolden and the student over the course of months.

Tyesha Bolden now faces serious legal consequences. Milwaukee County prosecutors have charged her with second-degree assault and providing a dangerous weapon to a minor. The timeline of events reveals that Bolden and the victim initially connected in October of the previous year at Pilgrim Lutheran School in Wauwatosa. As the victim’s eighth-grade teacher, Bolden reportedly initiated contact and exchanged explicit images with him.

Tragically, the initial inappropriate interactions escalated to a physical relationship when the two engaged in intercourse at a Brown Deer park in June 2023. Over the span of May to July of that year, the pair exchanged over 2,200 messages.

The student revealed to authorities that he requested Bolden to purchase a Glock 19 gun from Range USA in Greenfield following their sexual encounter. He also disclosed that Bolden gifted him the gun on his fourteenth birthday.

LUMIN Schools President and CEO Shaun Luehring issued a statement addressing the incident, emphasizing their commitment to Christian values and expressing their disappointment in the teacher’s actions. Bolden’s employment was promptly terminated upon discovery of her inappropriate relationship with the student.

If convicted, Tyesha Bolden could face a potential sentence of up to 43 years in prison, underscoring the gravity of the allegations and the potential consequences for those who breach the trust and boundaries expected within the educational system.
