The Schenectady community is in mourning following the untimely death of Usman Pirzada, a 21-year-old resident and Aviation Technology Flight Program student at Schenectady County Community College. Usman Pirzada’s cause of death was revealed by the Schenectady Police Department, shedding light on an incident near Lincoln Avenue and Steuben Street. Responding to the scene early Wednesday morning, the police found Usman suffering from a gunshot wound, surrounded by multiple shell casings. Despite swift efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at Albany Medical Center.

Usman Pirzada, a Schenectady High School graduate and son of Faziyana Nadia, was not just a student but a beloved brother to Shazia Pirzada. Studying in the Aviation Technology Flight Program at Schenectady County Community College, he was on a path toward realizing his aviation dreams.
Close friend Luis David Torres shared heartfelt memories, stating, “You will be missed brother.” Torres reminisced about Usman’s lively presence, his casual visits, and his friendly, carefree demeanor. Despite the tragedy, Torres fondly remembered the smiles Usman brought to every interaction, emphasizing the sudden loss at the age of 21.
