Turlock, CA – A heartbreaking discovery unfolded in Turlock as authorities identified a husband and wife who were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide earlier this week. The Turlock Police Department responded to the incident on Monday evening along East Springer Drive.
The incident was reported as an aggravated assault, and it was a family member who made the shocking discovery when she returned home, finding her parents with life-threatening injuries. Tragically, it was soon evident that the couple had not survived.
The victims were identified as Troy and Susanne Borges, aged 60 and 61, respectively. An autopsy revealed that Troy took his wife’s life before ending his own using a utility knife, which was recovered at the scene. The motive behind this tragic event remains unknown, as only the couple, who were alone in the house, could have known the reasons for their actions.
“We all heard the tragic death of a couple here in Turlock, who left their two young daughters alone now to take care of themselves and make funeral arrangements and to worry about house rent and everything!!,” Johnny Big-Ears shared on Facebook. “I personally never got to meet the family but one of my great friends Hilda, knew Susie Borges, for over 20 years and was one of her best friends!! She is asking the community to come together to help the two girls, Taylor and Tori Borges who suffered the tragic loss of both of their parents, Troy and Susie Borges. Anything you can help out with will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.”
A GoFundMe campaign is launched by friends of ‘The Borges Family’ for fundraising. Campaign is aiming to raise $100,000. $8,842 raised till now through 84 donations. It is stated on the page:
