Port Huron, MI – The community of Port Huron, Michigan, is reeling from the unexpected and heartbreaking passing of Trina Northrop, a cherished mother of two and a beloved member of the community known for her infectious spirit and unwavering dedication. Trina, a devoted wife and Public Health Nurse Advisor at PHN, succumbed to her battle with breast cancer, leaving behind her devastated husband, Aaron Northrop, and their two sons.

“This is a photo from May 17, 2017… the NHS stole ceremony at Port Huron Northern High School. The faces speak volumes. A glorious photo of the beloved Trina Northrop and my son, Chad ….a couple years before she was diagnosed with cancer. Trina was the NHS advisor at PHN for both of my sons. Although I did not know her well, as she was diagnosed the year I started working at PHN and shortly after… COVID rocked our world, she was a kind soul always with a smile.Trina fought a good fight. Cancer sucks!She and Ashley are surely special angels in heaven making good things happen. Another teacher, gone too soon.Please pray for her husband and two young sons.”
