Jermaine Dupri formed the R&B quintet Xscape and quickly added the latter to his new record company, So So Def Recordings. She has received two Soul Train Music Awards as part of the group, including the A-Town Music Award for Best Duo/Group, Best New R&B Artist, and R&B Album the best. After the release of Xscape’s third record, Traces of My Lipstick, in 1998, the band disbanded.

She shared the Grammy Award with Kandi Burruss, another former member of the group Xscape, for TLC’s amazing song “No Scrubs”.
