Tiffany Cowen Jamie Hastings & Sarnia Cananda passes way in motorcycle accident in Florida

Sebring, Florida, witnessed a heartbreaking incident on Monday as a deadly collision claimed the lives of a 42-year-old father of two, Jamie Hastings, and a 53-year-old mother, Tiffany Cowen, both residents of Sarnia, Canada. The motorcycle accident occurred in Highlands County, leaving a community in mourning.

The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the collision, which took place around 6:30 p.m. According to preliminary reports, a 40-year-old man from Sebring was traveling east on US 98 in the left turn lane near the junction of Madrid Drive. Simultaneously, a 42-year-old male was approaching the intersection of Madrid Drive on US 98, riding a motorcycle in a westward direction.

Tragically, as per the troopers’ account, the pickup vehicle made a left turn at the junction directly in the path of the oncoming motorcycle, resulting in a collision that struck the bike’s right side. The impact of the collision ejected the motorcyclist and his 53-year-old passenger from the bike. Despite emergency response efforts, both Jamie Hastings and Tiffany Cowen were pronounced dead at the scene.

The devastating incident serves as a somber reminder of the fragility of life on the road, prompting authorities to investigate the circumstances leading to the collision.
