Taylor Louderman and Brooks Toth married in a fairytale setting
Taylor Louderman and Brooks Toth met for the first time in 2018 at a mutual friend’s party in Manhattan. They began dating soon after and were engaged on Christmas Eve in 2019. According to Brides magazine, the couple chose a historic lighthouse in Jupiter, Florida, because of its “picturesque setting.” They couldn’t, though, since the facility was completely booked all year. The pair decided to rearrange their wedding plans and exchange vows in Louderman’s hometown of Missouri. However, fate had other ideas for them, and they were able to reserve their preferred spot. In an interview with Brides magazine, they stated:
“We didn’t want to wait and didn’t mind having a simple wedding when COVID struck. So we decided to check whether the lighthouse had any vacancies, and it did! We leased a motor home, transported Taylor’s family to Florida, and created memories that will last a lifetime.”
Taylor Louderman and Toth secured the site for their private wedding ceremony on June 14, 2020, surrounded by friends and family. According to the magazine, just 25 people attended the event, which was followed by a restaurant supper and a steel drum performance. They stated to the same publication:
“I was really looking forward to doing a more personal ceremony. The simplicity of our wedding felt like it reflected us beautifully, and I believe that is the silver lining of COVID. It gave us a license to mix things up and concentrate on why we were there in the first place.”
Michelle Lawson was also hired by the “COVID Couple” to photograph their wedding day.
