Geneva, IL – Tragedy struck the Southern Illinois University community with the unexpected passing of Parker Douglas, a bright student and former Geneva High School graduate. Parker’s aspirations of becoming a pilot at Southern Illinois University were cut short, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Remembered as a loving son and a wonderful big brother to Payton and Brayden, Parker’s untimely departure has left his family reeling from an immense loss. His friends and loved ones recall his warm and welcoming nature, always greeting everyone with a smile.
The Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity, to which Parker belonged, expressed profound sorrow at the loss of a cherished member, describing him as a positive, caring, and enthusiastic young man with a promising future ahead. The fraternity has initiated a fundraising effort through a GoFundMe account to support Parker’s family in covering funeral expenses and bills during this difficult period of mourning.
