Facebook can be really time-consuming at times, especially when you have a lot on your plate. Once you start scrolling, you could easily spend the next two or three hours just doing the thumbs up and down exercise. We all know that too much of anything is never good for your health, but stopping using Facebook can really help you with that.
Closing your Facebook account and paying attention to the important things sounds easy, but in reality it is very difficult to do.
Facebook gives you two choices – either exit their platform entirely by deleting Facebook, or temporarily deactivate or disable it and come back after the break.
Continue reading for details on how you can take advantage of the two options.
Are you really deleting your Facebook account?
There was a time when you dreamed of building a Facebook account and sharing your life online and now for some reason it is worrying you. Sharing too much information online is never a good thing or staying up on Facebook all night is not a healthy habit either.
For whatever reason, if you want to delete your Facebook account, you have two options.
The first way is to deactivate your Facebook profile, this is just to let you know how it would feel if your FB profile is no longer there. And if it doesn’t feel right, you can get it back at any time, that’s the name of the deactivation process. Currently, your profile will not be visible to anyone and no one will be able to search for you. Some types of information like your comment will still be visible, but your name will no longer be clickable. However, the cool thing is that you can still get back to your account whenever you want by reactivating your Facebook account.
The second option is to hit the ‘Delete’ button, yes you read that right. Doing that will permanently delete your Facebook account from the platform and to get back into your social life you will need to start from scratch. After you request the deletion, you will have a few days to sign in again, in case you change your mind. When that period is over, it will be gone forever.
Let’s discuss them in detail.
