Rt. Sir. Sheriff Oborevwori (born 19 June 1963) is a Nigerian politician and the incumbent Speaker of the Delta State House of Representatives as a representative of the Okpe State Constituency of the People’s Democratic Party. (Nigeria) and elected governor of Delta state since March 20, 2023 after winning the state gubernatorial election conducted on March 18, 2023 (PDP).
Kindergarten and education
Sheriff Oborevwori was born on June 19, 1963, in the family of Sheriff Samuel and Mrs. Esther Oborevwori in the town of Osubi in the Okpe Local Government Area of the Delta State. He started preschool at Alegbo Primary School and completed his high school education at Oghareki Grammar School, Oghareki. He graduated from the prestigious Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2004 and then went on to earn a master’s degree in political science from Delta Abraka State University in 2010. Oborevwori is an alumnus of the School. Business Alliance Manchester from the University of Manchester’s Executive Leadership Certificate Program and the London School of Economics and Political Science Certificate Program in Leading Integral Development.
Political career
Oborevwori started his Political career as a junior politician; Okpe Community President. However, he rose to prominence in 2015 after being elected as the member representing the Okpe State Constituency in the Delta State House of Representatives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). This is after 19 years of serving in a number of key government positions, first beginning as a Councilor in 1996. He was elected speaker of the Delta State House of Representatives on the 11th. May 2017 after then-President Rt. Sir. Monday Igbuya.

Life and Family
Police Chief Oborevwori is married to Mrs. Oborevwori Tobore. In May 2011, it was reported that she was kidnapped by gunmen along Osubi Road in the Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State. The perpetrator was later arrested and sentenced to 21 years in prison.
