“I was driving my 18-wheeler around the beautiful streets of Chicago the next morning, back at work, and I checked my email and got a text from Phil Ehart,” he recounts. told me I won the job. It was amazing to realize that was eight years ago.
As a kid in Chicago, Platt listened to his sister’s LPs, which featured many rock artists that were climbing the charts at the time. He also recalls listening to AM radio when the stations weren’t as focused on a particular genre as they are now.

Progressive rock was introduced to Platt when he was older, and he was instantly hooked. He eventually became interested in bands like Yes, Genesis, and Rush. One of those bands is Kansas. He admits that I missed the 1980s hairbands because I was so engrossed in that complicated music.
