Robert Sherrill Jr a.k.a Rocc, Los Angeles based actor, dies after lost 6 years of hard battle with Hodgkin lymphoma

Robert Sherrill Jr., widely known by his nickname “Rocc,” was a talented actor based in Los Angeles, California. He battled health issues, particularly Hodgkin’s lymphoma, with immense courage for six years. Remarkably, he triumphed over Hodgkin’s lymphoma not once but twice, showcasing his incredible resilience and determination.

However, in June, it was revealed that the cancer had resurfaced, posing a renewed threat to his health. This recurrence of the disease added to Robert’s challenges, especially considering the financial strain he was facing. His health issues had significantly impacted his ability to work, making his battle against the disease even more difficult.

Terrence Terrell shared death news of Robert Sherrill Jr and wrote,

“It is with extreme sadness, but my fiance Robert Sherrill Jr. has transitioned. I ask that you guys please give me and the family space to take this all in. Until we meet again my love.”

Johnny White paid tribute by saying,

To address his financial difficulties, Robert initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the substantial medical expenses that had accumulated over his prolonged struggle. The campaign aimed to support him in covering medical bills, medical supplies, food, and other essential needs during this trying time.

Robert Sherrill Jr wrote on GoFundMe page, “Hey everyone! My name is Rocc. Robert Jr. Many of you know that I have been battling with health issues for 6 years now. I beat *Hodgkins Lymphoma twice. Unfortunately, in June, I got the news that the cancer has returned. Since my relapse, I haven’t had any source of income due to my inability to work. I have moved back to North Carolina to be closer to family and the medical team who knows my case.”

He added, “I am currently under hospice care with my grandmother as my primary caretaker. Although I could never repay her for her sacrifices, I am asking you to help relieve some of her financial burden. All donations will go toward medical bills, medical supplies, food,. We are in the process of applying for disability and Medicaid. However, these processes can be long and they aren’t always guaranteed. Please share this post even if you aren’t unable to donate. Despite his struggles, Robert remained grateful for the support and generosity of the community, seeking assistance to ease the financial burden on his family, particularly his grandmother, who was his primary caretaker. He deeply appreciated any contributions made toward his cause.
