Robert Rob Milito, Owner of Bella’s Boys Italian Kitchen dies at 52: Obituary

The community is in mourning after the passing of Robert “Rob” Milito, affectionately known as Rob, the co-owner of Bella’s Boys Italian Kitchen Inc. He passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 52, surrounded by his loving family.

Rob, a proud graduate of the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, was deeply committed to his role as co-owner of Bella’s Boys Italian Kitchen Inc. He was not only a successful businessman but also a devoted coach at the Myers Riders Football Club, where he was fondly referred to as “Coach Rob.” His dedication extended beyond the field as he played vital roles in the lives of those around him—serving as a father, son, husband, friend, and mentor.

His infectious smile, unwavering commitment to teaching and learning, and selflessness in prioritizing his players defined his character. Coach Rob’s true passion lay in preparing his players for life beyond the game, imparting invaluable life skills that would accompany them into the future.

Rob leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of 26 years, Tina (nee Pugliese), and their children Genio, Matteo, and Tessa. He will be deeply missed by his parents Eugenio and Raffaela Milito, brothers Nick (Jackie) and Andrew (Christina), in-laws Sam and Diane Pugliese, sister-in-law Maria (Terry Hamburg), and brother-in-law Mario (Katie). He was a cherished uncle to Abigail, Marisa, Lucas, Christopher, Sophia, and Alivia. Rob will also be mourned by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Kelly Funeral Home, Barrhaven Chapel, and a service will be held to honor Rob’s memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Rob. The community unites in grieving the loss of a remarkable individual and extends heartfelt condolences to the Milito family during this difficult time.
