Richard moved to Hollywood in 1999 and began his professional dance career in music videos, live performances and commercials. In 2001, he appeared as a dancer on NSYNC’s album ‘Pop’. He danced for Blu Cantrell and Usher the same year. Similarly, he has performed for JC Chasez (Blowin’ Me Up), Missy Elliot (Gossip Folks) and Lady Gaga (‘Paparazzi,’ ‘Telephone,’ ‘Judas,’ and others).
He has served as an assistant choreographer to award-winning choreographers Michael Rooney and Laurieann Gibson. Lady Gaga hired Jackson as her choreographer and director of photography in November 2011. As an assistant, he has also danced and choreographed in numerous films and TV shows, including Honey (2003), Malibu’s Most Wanted (2003), Fat Albert (2004), A Star Is Born (2018) and others.
