Phil Benner Obituary, Pennsylvania based Drone Consultant dies at 43

The sudden passing of Phil Benner on January 16, 2024, has left a profound void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A devoted husband, loving father, cherished friend, and compassionate minister, Phil’s impact on the lives of others will be remembered with deep affection.

Phil, aged 43, of Liberty, PA, was born on May 11, 1980, in Harrisonburg, VA, to Paul and Faith Benner. As a senior drone consultant in environmental services and a valuable member of the leadership team at Mountaintop Grace Community Church, Phil dedicated his life to service and shared his wisdom with a warm and disarming presence.

Known for his adventurous spirit, easy laughter, and love for the outdoors, Phil enjoyed hunting, hiking, motorcycle rides, photography, and camping. His deep love for Jesus, his Savior, was evident in every aspect of his life.

Phil is survived by his wife, Michelle C. Benner; parents, Paul and Faith Benner; son, Nathaniel Benner; daughters, Arianna Benner and Alethea Benner; brothers, Jon Merlin (Melissa) Benner and Brian (Kelli) Benner; and sisters, Juanita (John) Brodnicki and Julia (David) Heck.

A memorial service to celebrate Phil’s life will be held at Mountaintop Grace Community Church, 6531 State Route 414, Liberty, PA, on Saturday, January 20th. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, with the service commencing at 11:00 am. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.

In honor of Phil Benner’s memory, a GoFundMe page has been set up by Christopher White to support the family with funeral costs and additional expenses. Christopher expressed the community’s deep sorrow, describing Phil as an “absolute angel of a man” who will be profoundly missed.
