John Peter Ricketts (born August 19, 1964) is an American politician and businessman who has served as Nebraska’s 40th Governor since 2015. He belongs to the Republican Party.

Joe Ricketts was a businessman, and Marlene was a teacher.Joe launched First Omaha Securities, one of the first bargain stockbrokers in the United States, in 1975, after moving his family to Omaha. After acquiring TD Waterhouse in 2006, the company changed its name to Ameritrade, went public in 1997, and changed its name to TD Ameritrade.
