North Augusta, SC – Paris Marchant, a resilient member of North Augusta, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on December 20 after battling a lifelong lung disease. Amidst her struggle, she found solace at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Paris, an Augusta Christian School student belonging to the class of 2025, touched many lives in her community. Tony Mercier, Owner-Operator at Investment Properties Management, fondly recalls meeting her over a year ago at a Clay Page performance, where he learned of her courageous battle with her lungs. He extends heartfelt condolences, acknowledging Paris’s journey and the relief that she now rests free from suffering.
Having undergone a double lung transplant in April, Paris remained a beacon of light in the First Baptist student ministry. Her passion for singing and unwavering faith enriched her peers’ lives, as she devotedly led them in worship.

“Heaven gained a beautiful princess today…It is with heavy heart that our family write this. París Marchant sadly passed away this morning. She fought a long battle with lung disease and took her last breaths at home with her family. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed. But now she is singing her heart out, playing volleyball and softball, and has no more scars or pain.”
A visitation to honor Paris Marchant will be held on Saturday, December 23, at FBCNA at one o’clock in the afternoon, followed by a funeral service at two o’clock.
