Portland, Oregon – In a somber turn of events, the owner of the popular PDX Sliders restaurant, Ryan Rollins, has tragically passed away, leaving the community in deep sorrow. The news was confirmed through a heartfelt Facebook post that expressed shock and grief: “I’m in shock. Owner of local restaurant PDX Sliders and dear friend, Ryan Rollins passed away last night in his sleep.”

Ryan Rollins, a figure well-known in the Portland community, pursued his education at Mt. Hood Community College between 2001 and 2002, earning a degree in Business Administration and Management. Continuing his academic journey at Lane Community College, he completed his studies in 2003.
His professional career took off at StellCo Inc., where he served as a Government Account Manager from December 2007 to April 2010. During this time, Rollins excelled in acquiring new business, building relationships, and showcasing his deep understanding of the IT industry. Recognized for his capabilities, he was promoted to Sales Manager-Government, overseeing all sales and business development functions.
Beyond his corporate success, Ryan Rollins ventured into the culinary world, establishing PDX Sliders as a food cart in 2014. The restaurant evolved from a mobile operation to a fixed location on Bybee Boulevard in southeast Portland’s Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood, officially opening its doors on January 21, 2017. Notably, Rollins had plans to expand PDX Sliders to the former Sunshine Tavern premises on Division Street in the Richmond neighborhood, marking a significant step forward in October.
Ryan Rollins’ legacy extends beyond his managerial and culinary achievements. He was recognized for cultivating lasting connections and maximizing opportunities for PDX Sliders, creating a beloved establishment within the Portland community.
