One injured amidst Vandergriff Honda shooting in Arlington, TX

Arlington, TX – In a recent incident at Vandergriff Honda in Arlington, an armed man, identified as 25-year-old Abbas Al-Mutairy, opened fire at the dealership. Police were alerted and promptly engaged the suspect. Due to the suspect’s actions, multiple officers discharged their weapons, striking Al-Mutairy.

The suspect, a former employee recently fired by the dealership, was armed with a long-style rifle. Witnesses described the chaotic scene, with the suspect firing at the building and heading towards the service area. An exchange of gunfire occurred between the suspect and a service advisor before the suspect was shot by the police.

Fortunately, no employees, customers, or police were injured during the incident. Al-Mutairy has been charged with aggravated assault against a public servant and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Further charges may be added pending the outcome of the ongoing investigations.
