The community was saddened by news of Kody Larson’s heart attack, leading to his hospitalization at Gunderson Hospital in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Larson faced critical conditions, relying on a ventilator. Reports also indicated his struggle with brain seizures and a simultaneous battle against Covid-19, culminating sadly in his passing.
A native of Stoddard, WI, Larson’s passion for baseball flourished during his time at De Soto High School. As a standout pitcher and catcher, he earned notable accolades such as second-team All-State, first-team All-District, and first-team All-Conference honors. His leadership qualities were evident as the team captain and two-time player/pitcher of the year. Excelling not only in sports but also academically, Larson graced the academic honor roll, showcasing his dedication to both athletic and scholarly pursuits.
