Officers, accompanied by Mount Pleasant Fire Department members, ventured into the floodwaters to rescue the victim. They successfully retrieved the person and administered CPR upon reaching dry land.
Despite the efforts to revive her, Nancy Morrow succumbed to asphyxia from drowning at East Cooper Medical Center around 1:46 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. This heartbreaking incident is under investigation, and updates will follow as new information surfaces.
