Korean media site Star News Korea reported that on January 21, 2023, actor Na Chul of Vincenzo and Little Women passed away at the age of 36. According to reports, the actor is seeking treatment for the condition his poor health. This media site added that Na Chul passed away due to more serious health problems he had when he was taken to the hospital. However, after being hospitalized, his health rapidly deteriorated, leading to his untimely death. The actor’s cause of death is still unknown.
As an actor, he has performed a wide range of supporting roles, animating the TV series and shows in which he appeared. He is noted for his villainous and comedic roles in many dramas, including Through The Darkness, Happiness, Jirisan, DP, Hospital Playlist season 1, Vincenzo, Little Woman, etc. Na Chul has also appeared in one several films, including Tune in for Love, Sinkhole, Extreme Job and the upcoming Concrete Utopia. This is the actor’s final film under the direction of Um Tae-hwa, who previously directed Park Seo-joon and Park Bo-young.
As the tributes for Na Chul continued to flood in, co-star Kim Go-eun made a touching comment about the actor on Instagram.
Kim Go-eun, a South Korean actress, teamed up with Na Chul in the Netflix blockbuster Little Women, in which he played a lawyer for the actress’ character, Oh In-ju. As lawyers and clients, the two showed perfect synchronicity. Fans have previously appreciated his performance in Vincenzo, where he played the supporting role of Na Deok-jin, Babel’s investment and development team leader. He has received rave reviews for his role as the villain in the current drama Weak Hero Class 1.
There, Na Chul plays Ki Gil-soo, a bandit notorious for luring high school students and naive youths into the gambling industry. In exchange for his loans, he lends them to them and then forces them to enslave him for the rest of his life. Little Women’s co-star Kim Go-eun paid an emotional tribute to the actor in an Instagram photo, which she captioned:

After his passing, the actress posted another photo of herself and the actor on her Instagram on January 22. She said:
“I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you until the last minute. Thank you for creating these priceless experiences. I’m not sure what’s in a hurry. It will be better now. I will keep the remaining two treasures. Do not worry. Na Chul, rest in peace.”
Similarly, when news of the actor’s death spread online, many fans and celebrities paid their respects to him on social media. Netizens expressed sadness at having to let him go this way, and expressed their condolences and gratitude for his recent work in Weak Hero Class 1, Once Upon a Time old and others. On January 23, 2023, the actor’s funeral was held, his relatives sent their last farewells and condolences to the late star.
