Sergeant Sullivan began his service with the Southbridge Police Department on September 18, 1990, joining from the Charlton Police Department. His commitment and dedication to duty were evident as he rose through the ranks, achieving the position of Detective in 1993. For 12 years, he served diligently within the Detective Division, showcasing his investigative skills and commitment to justice.

In 2011, Sergeant Sullivan’s outstanding work as a Detective, particularly in the sensitive area of investigating sexual assaults involving children, earned him the Tri-Community Exchange Club Officer of the Year award. This recognition highlighted his exceptional contributions to the community’s safety and well-being.

Promoted to the rank of Sergeant on November 20, 2012, Retired Sergeant Sullivan continued to make a significant impact until his retirement on July 5, 2018. Throughout his remarkable 27-year career in Southbridge and a total of over 30 years in law enforcement, his unwavering commitment to service left an enduring legacy.
