Anderson, Alabama – The community mourns the loss of Michael Allen Shockley, a beloved individual who passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the age of 26. Michael, a graduate of Lauderdale County High School from the class of 2015, left a lasting impact as an entrepreneur, thriving in the plumbing business he established and managed. His passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, defined his leisure moments, reflecting his love for nature.
Michael will be remembered for his enormous heart and the profound love he held for his daughters, Ava, Dixie, and Harper, as well as his entire family. His memory lives on through the cherished moments and the love he shared with all those who knew him.
The visitation to honor Michael’s life will take place on Monday, October 16th, at Rogersville Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m., followed by a graveside service in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Thomas Heath and Larry Shockley. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sydney Shockley; loving parents, Jon and Rachael Shockley; caring sisters, Amanda (Austin) Wilson, Heather Shockley, Samantha (Preston) Harville; and doting grandmothers, Mary Shockley and Monica Heath. He leaves behind nieces, Alivia and Anthony Wilson, River Stumpe, as well as Charlee, Presley, and Brantlee Harville. Additionally, he is survived by numerous cousins and a wide circle of friends.
