Hartford, Connecticut, is grieving the loss of a beloved son, community leader, and entrepreneur, Michael Larose, who passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, just a week before his 41st birthday.
Born on September 28, 1982, in Hartford, Michael was the embodiment of hard work and determination. He inherited his strong work ethic from his late father, Robert Larose. From a young age, Michael demonstrated his industrious nature by taking up odd jobs in the neighborhood, including raking leaves, cutting grass, and shoveling driveways. His commitment to excellence extended to his passion for soccer, where he earned a spot on the varsity team during his freshman year, playing for NJ State Select.
Michael’s dedication to his community was evident through his certification as an EMT and his volunteer work with the Marlborough Fire Department. He pursued higher education at Assumption Collegiate and later at Northeastern University, majoring in marketing and finance. His academic prowess was reflected in his consistent placement on the dean’s list and honor roll.
After a brief stint at Fidelity in Boston, Michael returned to Connecticut, channeling his entrepreneurial spirit into expanding the family business, BioSafe Systems. He played a pivotal role in the company’s growth, particularly in the agricultural sector. His willingness to travel across the nation, networking and attending trade events, showcased his determination and dedication.
Beyond his professional achievements, Michael was known for his kindness and generosity. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, sharing his infectious laughter and warm smile with everyone he met. Whether he was in Boston or back home in Hartford, he made a positive impact on his neighbors, earning their respect and friendship.
Michael leaves behind cherished memories with his siblings, Lauren Crane and Matthew Larose. A Christian Mass in his honor will be held on Saturday, September 30th, at 1 PM at St. Catherine of Siena in Simsbury, followed by a Celebration of Life at Simsbury 1820 House. The community is invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this remarkable individual.
