Old Lyme, CT – Michael Finkeldey, a well-known figure and the owner of Finkeldey BMJ, tragically lost his life at the age of 63 on Friday, September 29, 2023, in a fatal accident on Interstate 95. The incident occurred just south of exit 71 in Old Lyme, and Connecticut State Police Troop F Westbrook confirmed the unfortunate event.
Finkeldey, a seasoned tractor-trailer driver, was traveling south when he collided with the back of another tractor-trailer, causing his vehicle to veer into the right shoulder and crash into a guardrail. The impact led to the overturning of his truck onto the passenger’s side, resulting in Finkeldey being ejected from the vehicle. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the accident site.
