The accident occurred in the early morning, just after 3 a.m., near Coldwater Road and the 312 mile-marker. Initial reports indicated that Marissa’s car left the road and veered off an exit ramp, crossing lanes and colliding with the guardrail before plummeting down an embankment. Tragically, she was thrown from the vehicle and landed on the I-69 northbound lanes, where she was struck by an oncoming car.
