Maria Libri, 31 years old, is a famous journalist, author, model and actress recently engaged to Chris Kattan. The couple will soon exchange vows. On March 27, Kattan announced her proposal on Instagram. He posted a few photos and claimed that the proposal took place during Wilco’s concert in Chicago. Kattan added that Maria’s favorite song, I’m the Man Who Loves You, was played after the marriage proposal, despite the fact that the performance was interrupted by lead vocalist Jeff Tweedy. He continued:
“Thanks to Wilco and Jeff, and everyone else who helped make this incredible moment a reality.” I will be forever grateful. Maria, I admire you.”
In an interview with People, Kattan said that the reason their relationship didn’t work out was because of their differences. Kattan notes that he and Libri accept each other for who they are:
“I knew I was in trouble when I met her and spent some time with her a few months after we first met and realized that our creative brains were also completely in sync (after the first sketch). first we did it together)!” Luckily for me, she feels the same way.”

Maria Libri previously served as a reporter for Fox News and as a presenter for many Midwestern television stations. She received her bachelor’s degree from Illinois Springfield College, where she majored in Psychology although she initially pursued Communication. She attended the same institution for her Master’s degree in Human Services, but after the birth of her second child, she decided to quit. She has also served as a spokesperson and model for many companies. She currently lives in Springfield, Illinois. She has more than 2,000 followers on Instagram and her profile identifies her as a screenwriter and mother of three.

Chris Kattan and Maria Libri first met on a comedy tour in 2021, when the latter sought to interview Chris. Libri tells PEOPLE about their first meeting:
“From the moment we met, we felt comfortable with each other. Call it weird, mysterious or magical, but it’s as if we’ve known each other since past lives. “After our first day together, I knew (though I don’t know how) that my life would never be the same after meeting Chris.”
Kattan and Maria Libri went public in February 2022 when Kattan posted a photo of him and Maria smiling for the camera. Libri told the Springfield Journal-Register that she and Kattan are currently in a relationship and that Chris will see her often.
