Brenham, TX – Brenham High School in Texas was placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure after authorities received a report of a “possible suicidal subject near the school with a firearm.” Multiple law enforcement agencies, along with School Resource Officers, conducted a thorough search of the campus and nearby areas. Fortunately, no gunman or firearm was found in or near the high school.
The decision to lockdown the school was taken to ensure the safety of students and staff while law enforcement assessed the situation. While the subject of the search was not located, authorities continue their investigation. The school district commended law enforcement for their diligence in keeping them informed and for the precautionary measures taken to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
