On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Toronto bid a sorrowful farewell to Lenni Eubanks, the esteemed founder of My First Wheels. The city is in shock and disbelief as it grieves the passing of a remarkable woman who, at 52, succumbed to a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Lenni, originally from Toronto, transformed the simplicity of her early years into a driving force for excellence and societal contribution. Armed with two undergraduate degrees from York University and a graduate degree from the University of Toronto, she rose to prominence as a successful communication executive.
Beyond her professional success, Lenni’s heart was dedicated to philanthropy. In 2009, she founded My First Wheels, a charitable endeavor that left an indelible mark on the community. Her commitment to providing opportunities and support for others was a testament to her generous spirit.
Lenni was more than an accomplished professional; she was a beloved wife to Michael and a cherished mother to Owen. Her family was her anchor, and their love and support were palpable throughout her courageous battle with cancer.
Friends and well-wishers are invited to a visitation at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.), on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. A private family funeral service and reception will follow on Sunday, November 19, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Colorectal Cancer Resource & Action Network (CCRAN) in honor of Lenni’s memory. The city of Toronto joins together in expressing condolences to Lenni Eubanks’ family and in remembering a woman whose impact reached far beyond her professional and philanthropic endeavors.
