Kimberly Holladay passes away hours after she was found unresponsive in Madison

Madison, WI – The communities of Madison and Dodgeville are grappling with the unexpected and tragic passing of Kimberly Holladay Smith, a cherished wife and mother. Kimberly, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a longtime resident of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Reports indicate that Kimberly was found unresponsive, and despite efforts to administer life-saving measures, she sadly succumbed, leaving behind a community in shock. Described as a cheerful and peaceful science lover, Kimberly’s presence touched the lives of those around her.

We have lost my beautiful cousin Kimberly Holladay. There are no words to express the loss we feel right now. 🙁 I will miss you my birthday twinsie. It still does not seem real. 😢 😭

Family and friends are mourning the loss, and the community has come together to offer prayers and support for Kimberly’s husband, Kevin Holladay, who is understandably broken by the sudden loss of his wife. Expressing their condolences, Kimberly’s former employer shared heartfelt sentiments: “Kimberly Holladay was a beloved friend and colleague. She was smart, dedicated, incredibly caring, and creative. During her time at Animal Crackers, Inc., we were blessed to have so many adventures together. Our deepest sympathies go out to her children, friends, and family.”
