Avant, Oklahoma – The Skiatook Community is grieving the loss of Kasey Griffin, a beloved son, brother, and fiancé, who tragically lost his life in a construction accident on Thursday, September 14th, 2023. Kasey was a cherished member of the community, known for his unwavering work ethic and generosity. His sudden departure has left family and friends devastated.
Kasey Griffin, just 18 years old, was operating a Trupac Roller on North 66th West Avenue near West 61st Street in Tulsa when the accident occurred. The equipment hit an uneven spot on the roadway, causing Griffin to lose control, and it rolled over on its side, ejecting him approximately two feet. He was rushed to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition with head injuries and, sadly, succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Sara Johnson shared Kasey Griffin’s death news through facebook by stating:

Janet Coover Gregston also paid tribute by saying,
My sister, lost her youngest grandson, Kasey Griffin in a tragic accident yesterday. Please pray for his parents, sisters, fiancé, uncles, aunts, grandparents, great grandparents, all family and friends that shared life with Kasey.Gone way too soon, yet lived life with zest. He loved Jesus in a manner for others to know Jesus or ask who is this Jesus you love? Love you Kasey.

Kasey was a graduate of Skiatook High School and actively participated in various school sports, earning the respect and admiration of his coaches for his commitment and attentiveness. He served as a motivation to everyone he encountered, showcasing an unparalleled work ethic and boundless generosity.
In response to this tragedy, Lori Fulton established a GoFundMe account on Friday, September 15th, 2023, with the aim of providing financial support to Kasey Griffin’s family during this challenging time. The community rallied together, donating a total of $12,544 to the campaign so far, with the largest donation being $500. The fundraiser aims to raise a total of $50,000 to assist the family in coping with the emotional and financial burden of this devastating loss.
