Kaomarion Kendrick arrested in suspect of Emmanuel Dorsey’s murder outside Spalding County football game

A 17-year-old, Kaomarion Kendrick, has been arrested in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Emmanuel Dorsey outside a Spalding County football game. The tragic incident occurred on September 30 near the Griffin-Spalding football game.

Kendrick was apprehended by the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office in a Henry County neighborhood. Dorsey was shot and killed near the Griffin High football stadium while the rivalry game was ongoing. The charges against Kendrick, including murder and aggravated assault, were not specified in the release.

Authorities stated that Kendrick and the victim knew each other, both attending Griffin High, and the incident was not random. The motive for the shooting remains unclear. Kendrick was found armed with a Glock handgun modified with a full-auto switch.

The school district emphasized the separation between the football game and the shooting, with the incident happening down the street, and the suspect never entering the game.
