Waterbury, Conn. – In a grim turn of events, 18-year-old Joseph Zavala of Waterbury has lost his life after sustaining a gunshot wound on Saturday, as confirmed by the Waterbury Police Department.

Zavala was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, his condition critical. Regrettably, on Monday, authorities reported that he succumbed to his injuries, marking another life lost to gun violence.
