Waterbury, Conn. – In a grim turn of events, 18-year-old Joseph Zavala of Waterbury has lost his life after sustaining a gunshot wound on Saturday, as confirmed by the Waterbury Police Department.
Zavala was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, his condition critical. Regrettably, on Monday, authorities reported that he succumbed to his injuries, marking another life lost to gun violence.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of North Main Street and Kingsbury Street, where Zavala was shot. The circumstances leading to the shooting remain under investigation, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
