Detroit, MI – Joseph Primavera from Detroit, Michigan, lost his battle against the severe injuries sustained in a tragic motorcycle accident. The accident led to Joseph being transported to the hospital with grave injuries, ultimately resulting in his untimely passing. Rosalba Primavera Pacella, expressing her sorrow on Facebook, described Joseph as a unique soul with a warm heart and an illuminating smile that brightened any room. She said,
With a heavy heart we had to say goodbye to my nephew, Joseph. He truly was one of a kind, with such a warm heart and smile that lit up the room. It’s hard to understand why God called him home so soon, but find comfort in knowing he is back together with his Papa. 🙏🏻
Joseph’s life took a tragic turn when he was recently involved in a motorcycle accident, leaving him hospitalized in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Despite the medical team’s efforts and three days of battling, PRIMAVERA, JOSEPH ANTHONY “Joey” passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 34, leaving his loved ones heartbroken. He was born on December 27, 1988.
He was a beloved father, husband, and son, survived by his adoring daughters Chloe, Tessa, Penelope, and Marisa, and his late father Nicola Primavera. Joseph was also a cherished brother to Jaclyn (Daniel) Gerardi. His memory lives on in the hearts of many, including nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A visitation to honor Joseph’s life is scheduled for Thursday, September 21, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM (ET) at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., located at 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Pkwy. (16 Mile) in Sterling Heights, MI. Additionally, an instate and funeral mass will take place on Friday, September 22, starting at 9:30 AM at San Francesco Catholic Church, 22870 S. Nunneley in Clinton Twp., concluding with the Mass at 10:00 AM. The final resting place will be Resurrection Cemetery.
