The victim, identified as “Perla” by a customer, is remembered as a lovely woman with a decent heart, committed work ethic, and kindness. The suspect, 30-year-old Jermard J. Lewis, has been taken into custody in connection with the deadly incident.

The tragic event unfolded around 10:30 a.m. at the Waynedale Kroger store, where Perla lost her life due to multiple stabbings inflicted by Lewis.
