The former glamorous international star from Mexico is now contributing to CBS’s Champions League coverage. Chiu joined CBS in September 2020 and has since established himself as an important member of the organization.
She broadcasts live broadcasts of major European events, such as the Champions League final in Paris last month. Chiu, who holds dual Mexican and US citizenship, competed for Mexico at the 2014 World Cup with the U20 team.
She attended the prestigious University of North Carolina athletics college and currently resides in El Paso, Texas. Chiu’s broadcasting career began with assignments for Fox Sports in Australia and at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
She joined the Portland Timbers’ digital media team as an intern in 2018, according to her LinkedIn. She then began working for Orlando City as a reporter for their Major League Soccer team. She was hired by CBS Sports for her efforts in Florida, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Chiu now has more than 28,000 fans on Instagram and is friends with Jules Breach, another broadcaster working for BT Sport in the UK.
