This morning, a reported gunfire incident on eastbound Interstate 94, situated east of Moorland Boulevard, has prompted an ongoing investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department. In response to this claim, officials have initiated a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the reported shots fired.
As part of the investigative process, a section of eastbound Interstate 94 is currently blocked off. The duration of the closure remains undetermined as law enforcement continues their examination of the scene. Drivers are advised that the affected stretch of eastbound I-94 is inaccessible and will need to follow a detour route to resume their eastbound journey on the interstate.
To navigate around the blocked section of eastbound I-94, drivers are directed to take an exit on Moorland Boulevard. Subsequently, they are instructed to follow West Bluemound Road eastbound until reaching Highway 100, where they can re-enter I-94 eastbound and continue their travel. This detour route has been established to facilitate traffic flow while the investigation progresses.
